The hair follicles, or pores, in your skin contain sebaceous glands[also called oil glands]. These glands make sebum, which is an oil that lubricates your hair and skin. Most of the time, the sebaceous glands make the right amount of sebum. As a teenager’s body begins to mature and develop, hormones stimulate the sebaceous glands to make more sebum, and the glands become more active

People of all ages get acne, however it is more common in teenagers and young adults. Nearly 90% of people between puberty [12–14 years] to 30 years, experience some degree of pimple.
What causes Acne?
Although the exact cause of pimple is not known there are number of factors associated.
1- Hormonal changes related to menstrual period, pregnancy, birth control pills, or stress.
2- Greasy or oily cosmetic and hair products and and improper skincare.

Fact– Actually the use of makeup is relatively harmless when it is non-comedogenic[does not clog pores], hypo-allergic, and non-irritating. Some cosmetics not even come with pimple fighting ingredients like Benzoyl peroxide or Salicylic acid in them.
What are the skin care tips for acne?
- Keep your face clean and wash your skin gently with mild leisure preferable twice a day. Scrubbing hard may worsen acne.
- Avoid touching acne or other official eruptions with your hands and spreading infections further.
- Wash your hair regularly.
- Avoid excessive hair oils or oil massages
- Eat a healthy diet with lots of fruits and vegetables.
- Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated and to wash toxins from the body.
- Wash your pillow case at the end of every week.
- Door use oil-based and greasy makeup.
- Don’t take stress. Regular exercise and sufficient sleep are essential for a healthy skin.
